2024 Black Music Honors will be co-hosted by singer and actress LeToya Luckett alongside comedic actor DeRay Davis and will honor Johnny Gill, Patrice Rushen, Bootsy Collins and Hezekiah Walker. Some of the performers include BLK ODYSSY, Chanté Moore, Donald Lawrence, Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling, Ricky Dillard, MonoNeon, Shanice, The Chi (Carl Thomas, Dave Hollister & Syleena Johnson) and Tone Stith.

At the Kentucky Derby Museum there is a permanent exhibit called Black Heritage in Racing which focuses on the history of Black Horsemen and Women in the sport. The Black Jockeys Lounge, located in downtown Louisville, is the destination for great food, cocktails, and to learn the history of Black horse jockeys operated by entrepreneur Tawana Bain.
